Dr. Samuel Anim Ofosu (HoD)

The Environmental Management and Technology (EMT) Department is one of the youngest departments in the university, which was established in the year 2013. The department, however, is rapidly growing with an increasing number of students population who enrolled on the program. The ultimate goal of the department is to produce high-level career-focused and skilled manpower in environmental management and technology through industrial demonstrations and practices, including laboratory instructions/experimentations. Each year, the department embarks on industrial trips with its students in conjunction with other industries and organisations that we have collaborated with, which provides the students with practical field experience, thereby enhancing their ability and skill in the safe management of the environment. The Department is currently committed to researching and developing environmentally friendly technologies and methods for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
